The Web...
« on: August 20, 2006, 06:04:11 PM »

There is a delicate thread which binds
one so fragile as not to even be there
It holds some things tenously
and other things it will hold forever
while they fight and struggle to be free
yet a breath can tear it apart effortlessly

These fragile constructions from arachnid
and also woven by humans as a veil
there are those which are woven strong
and those which are invisible to the eye
but they are always there permeating all
weaving and glistening in the unseen  light

We spin them as we speak our thoughts
and weave and constuct  them in  our dreams
they connect  all those fragile  burning emotions
that stretch across the mind as tender feelings
they touch ours and others'  lives endlessly
yet a breath can tear it apart effortlessly

The universe is connected with the invisible
our minds with the  unknown complexities
this world with the unseen tenuous fragililties
and our personal strength relies on its frame
it exsists within and without, seen and not
yet a breath can tear it apart effortlessly

This endless connection that binds us all
so beautiful and wonderous  to the soul
That which brings us back to ourselves
and gives our spirit to another so freely
That which connects all to one macrocosm
yet  a breath can tear it apart effortlessly

Who is this Carolanne Grant? I like this poem very much...
"As long as we confuse the myriad forms of the divine lila with reality, without perceiving the unity of Brahman underlying all these forms, we are under the spell of maya..."
