Gazing
© By Rena L. Fuller

I gazed upon beauty that was blinding,
And wondered at its creator.
The magnitude of its perfection revealed the source was not earthly,
But rather celestial or from a realm of splendor not yet discovered.
I was illuminated.

I gazed upon a mind that was infinite,
So filled with complexities that at first glance it appeared confused.
A mind so brilliant it was not bound by time or experience,
But rather able to absorb the wisdom of past, present and future.
I was intimidated.

I gazed upon a body that was excellent,
Formed and shaped by one with delicate and exquisite taste.
Too lovely to soil by touching it with common hands,
But rather meant to be explored only by those of a higher nature.
I was enchanted.

I gazed upon eyes that spoke in silence,
Quiet, illusive words that were almost beyond understanding.
A language I could not comprehend at first introduction,
But rather absorb its essence and let it transcend my soul and feed me for years.
I was intrigued.

I gazed upon seduction and shuttered,
I could barely recognize its sexuality or possibility.
Yet I yearned to reach out and be launched into its sensual oblivion,
But rather, I shied away from being a participant and quietly observed.
I was terrified.

I gazed upon love that was boundless,
So replete with emotion, so encompassing I feared I would be lost.
Yet I bravely stood and allowed it to posses me. I didn't demand it,
But rather begged for its totality and I was no longer my own.
I was enraptured.

Without constant complete silence meditation - samadi - we lose ourselves in the game.  MM
