Godsmack
Voodoo

"I'm not the one who's so far away
When I feel the snake bit enter my veins.
Never did I wanna be here again,
And I don't remember why I came."

Candles raise my desire,
Why I'm so far away.
No more meaning to my life,
No more reason to stay.

Freezing, feeling,
Breathe in, breathe in...
I'm coming back again...

[repeat chorus]

Hazing clouds rain on my head,
Empty thoughts fill my ears.
Find my shade by the moonlight,
Why my thoughts aren't so clear.

Demons dreaming,
Breathe in, breathe in...
I'm coming back again...

[repeat chorus 4 times]

Voodoo, voodoo, voodoo, voodoo.
[repeat]

[So far away...
I'm not the one who's so far away...
I'm not the one who's so far away...
I'm not the one who's so far away...]

This song has such an incredible feeling to it.. do you all know it?

One of my favorites to drum to, and if I have to drive I'll just sing along

The body is an instrument played by the Divine; listen to its music.
Reflect not, but respond to it with spontaneous right action in the moment.
Be the uninhibited dancer and move to the rhythm of Spirit.

Love that song.

"As long as we confuse the myriad forms of the divine lila with reality, without perceiving the unity of Brahman underlying all these forms, we are under the spell of maya..."

Yes, its a band called Godsmack, I dont know what else they do besides this one and Serenity. I think they are a bit of a heavy metal band.. not really my taste, I can remember first hearing the name Godsmack when my cousin was heading to a concert, I honestly thought to myself. What a horrid name for a band and no wonder the world is a mess. ect ect.. LOL

Then a good friend of mine sent me these two songs and they really are very good and deeply moving. I also dance to Voodoo as well as drum quite frequently.

Do you use the share music programs on the net? You should download them both just for kicks.

I have them on my pc but my dial up I fear would make it a pain to share them.

heard that - they only give a snippet, but in that snippet, the rhythm I heard them play was exactly the male, 4/4 beat I refered to earlier - it is very popular with rock bands.

i'll keep my eye/ear out for them.
