As the dark skies cleared
and Mara was defeated
he was accepted
with all of his traps
with all of his trickeries
with all of his ignorance
as a part of siddhartha himself,
and so he fled
right back into the heart of the buddha
safe and sound from ever being able
to cast a shadow over his eyes again

and then siddharta saw
the world as it were
a new world fresh and anew
he fell in love with that world
in its beautiful reality
that nothing truly dies
and nothing doesnt come from nothing
so nothing cannot go back to nothing
for nothing doesnt exist

so mara fled, right into siddharthas heart
he had no more fear of the unknown
the unknown became known
and he fell back into the depths of infinity
and realized that as long as one can love
beyond the furthest reaches of the universe
everything in it
and accept things as they are
and have joy in knowing these things
he was rich indeed

having everything
knowing nothing
yet infinitely wise
he sat in bliss for days
contemplating the dharma
his own freedom had been attained

once love is realized like that
it can never be taken away from you
it cannot be removed
even from the worst of enemies
even from the worlds greatest fears

so he sat alone
yet one with everything
and he wasnt alone
the world was awake, and alive
and hed never been more alive than this

the skies of heaven opened wide
and revealed all their secrets
and the earth quaked in recognition
he was the one
and since him
there have been many other ones

we can only be the one
there is no other one but us

that is what he taught

the lesson

All is One.
